Practicum Students are current Master’s degree students gaining experience in the counseling field under the direct supervision of a clinical director at their specified site and a supervisor at their university.
Registered Interns are mental health professionals who have completed a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field. They are registered with a state board, hold an active license, and provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
Licensed Therapists are mental health professionals who have completed a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field and has completed over 1,500 hours of clinical experience in at least a two-year span. Licensed therapists offer the same services as a registered intern, but do not require additional supervision per state guidelines.
