Carine Graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Social Work. As a therapist, she has an extensive background in outpatient, inpatient, and case management for the private sector and social service agencies. She enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds/populations including children, teens, young adults, elderly, couples, individuals, and groups. She provides long-term and brief interventions using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client. She is a strong advocate for her clients.
Carine’s approach in therapy is strength based, non-judgmental, refreshing, unassuming, purposeful where the client does not feel pressured, but will want to walk alongside their therapeutic goals and their life journey. Some of her Areas of expertise include: Positive Coping Skills, Stress/Anger management, Play and Art Therapy Techniques, Positive Parenting (TripleP) for blended families, single and divorced parents. Anxiety and depression (including postpartum depression with new mom, women who suffers from miscarriages, stillbirth, infertility), Relationship challenges, Phase-of-life changes, Trauma, grief, loss, Alzheimer’s disease and spirituality.
Carine enjoy spending time with her family, she speaks Haitian Creole, she is very active in her community as a mental health advocate and is also a nonprofit Entrepreneur.
