Mia graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and earned a Master’s Degree from Barry University in Clinical Social Work. Her post-master’s training is in Early Childhood Development, Play Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Mia has a wealth of experience working with children and families and particularly children ages 0-18, teen parents, youth aging out of foster care and youth experiencing homelessness. Mia is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a passion for working with young children and advocating for accessible mental health services for all. Mia has presented at the Florida Association of School Social Workers Summit, she is nationally certified as a Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer and is a certified Clinical Social Work Intern Supervisor in the state of Florida.
