Hello, my name is Paulette Duhaney, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
(LMHC) in the state of Florida. I completed a masters’ degree in Counselling
Psychology from the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology in Kingston, Jamaica
and a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University
in Florida.
My early years were shaped by cultural richness and spiritual grounding that
influences the way I interact with clients. I am guided by a faith-based, systemic and
holistic perspective that views each person’s well-being as deeply connected to their
relationships, environment, and lived experiences.
Using an integrative and evidence-based approach, I draw from family systems
theory, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral and client-centered therapy to create a
warm, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and
empowered.
I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating relational conflicts,
trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem struggles, anxieties, and life-transitions.
It is my belief that given the right tools, support, and a safe and non-judgemental space,
each client is able to set and achieve goals that are important to them!
