Hello! I’m Janice Katz, a later-in-life student obtaining my Master of Arts degree in Clinical
Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I am passionate about
helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, a little bit of humor,
and hope. I’m committed to creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can feel
comfortable sharing your emotions and experiences.

As I complete my graduate training in clinical mental health counseling, what speaks to me is
the belief that each person is the expert on their own life. My role is to listen, support, and
collaborate with you as we explore your strengths, overcome obstacles, and work toward the
goals that matter most to you. I want every client to feel heard, respected, and empowered.

My interests lie in helping individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss,
life transitions, relationship concerns, and family-related challenges. My approach is
person-centered and collaborative, while incorporating evidence-based techniques from various
therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs.
