I am currently a Marriage and Family and Mental Health Counselor Intern with a strong passion for helping individuals and families improve emotional well-being and strengthen relationships. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis, and I bring over 10 years of experience working with individuals with ADHD and Autism, supporting clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and improved daily functioning.

Over the years, I transitioned into working with adolescents and adults experiencing severe mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and substance use challenges. My clinical approach focuses on creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while learning practical strategies to improve their quality of life.

In addition, I have two years of experience utilizing Art Therapy techniques, particularly with children and adolescents who struggle to verbally express their emotions. Through creative expression, clients are able to communicate their inner experiences in a safe and meaningful way while developing healthier coping skills.

I also have experience working with families and parent–child relationships, with a strong emphasis on healthy communication, problem-solving, conflict repair, and learning how to challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to interpersonal difficulties. My goal is to empower clients and families with the tools needed to build stronger connections, improve emotional understanding, and foster lasting personal growth.

Fun Fact:

I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember! Since I was about five years old, my parents let me sketch and paint directly on my bedroom walls, turning them into a giant canvas filled with different drawings and ideas. That early love for creativity stayed with me, and today I enjoy incorporating art therapy techniques into my sessions. Outside of work, I also have a bit of a green thumb. I love planting random fruit seeds and herbs in my backyard and watching them grow!
