Dr. Emily Garcia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor who is passionate about helping people make sense of their experiences and reconnect with their strengths. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a Master’s and PhD in Couple and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and currently teaches and supervises therapists in training.
Emily practices from a narrative therapy lens, which means she sees people as separate from their problems and believes that the stories we carry about ourselves matter. In her work, she partners with clients to gently explore those stories, uncover overlooked strengths, and create new ways of understanding themselves and their relationships.
She works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges. Emily is known for creating a space that feels warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, where clients can feel both supported and empowered as they move toward meaningful change.
