Mackenzie holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Alabama. She is currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFTI) with a strong passion for supporting children, adolescents, and individuals as they navigate life’s challenges.
Mackenzie works closely with parents and caregivers, recognizing the vital role they play in a child’s emotional and behavioral development. Through collaboration, she helps strengthen family relationships and foster supportive, healthy home environments. She also has a special interest in working with postpartum mothers, offering a compassionate and understanding space to process the emotional and relational transitions that accompany this stage of life.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in creating a secure, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore both their challenges and strengths. Mackenzie integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and play therapy tailoring her work to meet each client’s unique needs.
