Soraida earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in Medical Family Therapy from the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She has been practicing for approximately 6 years, working with children, adolescents, and adults. She approaches therapy with a compassionate heart, blending evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Based (SBT), and Bowen Family Systems Therapy. Soraida is trained in play therapy and experienced in working as a co-located therapist within the public school system.
Soraida is passionate about guiding individuals (children and adults) and couples through life transitions. Whether it’s navigating a growing family, adjusting to medical challenges, experiencing grief and loss, being a caregiver to aging parents, or an emerging adult finding their path, she is ready to collaborate with her clients and show them they are not alone on their journey. When appropriate, she incorporates a Faith-based Christian perspective to honor her client’s values and spiritual needs.
Soraida’s goal is to create a safe, nurturing space through active listening, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, providing a place that promotes hope, healing, and resilience.
