Giovanna Cardelli de Andrade is a graduate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Nova Southeastern University, currently completing her practicum at Marriage and Family Services. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Giovanna moved to South Florida at the age of fifteen. Having attended a bilingual school in Brazil, she is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and brings this multicultural, multilingual perspective into her work with clients.

Giovanna’s passion for psychology began in a high school class shortly after her move to the United States, sparking an interest that grew into a deep commitment to helping others understand their emotions, connect with themselves, and build healthier relationships. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University.

Grounded in a systemic approach, Giovanna believes that people are best understood within the context of their relationships and life experiences. She draws on a range of therapeutic models, tailoring her work to fit each client’s unique needs and goals.

Giovanna works with individuals, couples, and families — including children and adolescents — with particular interest in helping clients navigate relationship dynamics, communication, identity, and personal growth. She is passionate about creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings and are supported on their journey toward self-understanding, healing, and connection.
