Julia Wolloch is a graduate student in the Couples and Family Therapy program at Nova Southeastern University, currently completing her practicum at Marriage and Family Services. Through her studies and clinical training, Julia has learned that life challenges are best understood by exploring the context of your story—including your relationships, family experiences, environment, culture, and personal strengths.
Julia is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families going through life transitions, couples dealing with communication and intimacy issues among other concerns, and young adults looking to create meaning in their lives. She takes the time to understand each client holistically and helps them recognize the abilities and resources they already possess to develop practical and meaningful ways to move forward.
Her coursework has included focused study in loss and grief, as well as experiential learning in equine-assisted family therapy. These experiences have strengthened her understanding of the ways people process emotions, navigate transitions, and find meaning during difficult periods of their lives. She was born and raised in Miami Beach and has also lived in Chicago and New York, working in corporate marketing prior to moving back home to South Florida and pursuing this meaningful shift in career. She’s looking forward to working with you to explore your ingrained stories and beliefs and rebuild them to construct the life you’re looking for.
