Leandra Mateo is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who is passionate about helping others feel supported, understood, and comfortable being themselves. She works with adolescents, teens, and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, or other challenges that can make everyday life feel more difficult.

She believes that therapy looks different for everyone and that it is important to meet each person where they are. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment where clients can talk openly about what they are going through without feeling judged. Through therapy, she works with clients to better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and work through the challenges they may be facing.

Her approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. She values building a strong therapeutic relationship and takes the time to understand each client’s individual experiences, needs, and goals.

She understands that reaching out for therapy can be difficult, especially when you may not know where to begin. She hopes to provide a space where clients feel supported as they take those first steps toward feeling more like themselves and creating meaningful change in their lives.
