Meet Rebecca
Plantation Team
I am a devoted and mission driven Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with over a decade of experience in both clinical and community settings. I approach therapy through an inclusive, trauma informed, culturally responsive, and family centered lens, with a special passion for supporting children, teens, and families navigating emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
I earned both my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and my Bachelor's in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. My clinical journey has taken me through a wide range of environments, including psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers for at-risk youth, and agencies serving clients with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs, including those who are neurodivergent. These experiences have given me a broad, real world foundation for providing meaningful, compassionate care.
My work includes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, collaborative treatment planning, and the delivery of individual, group, and family therapy. I draw from CBT, DBT, solution focused therapy, and family systems theory, always with an emphasis on strength based care tailored to each client's unique background and goals. As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I value creating a welcoming and inclusive space for clients from all walks of life. My practice is rooted in helping individuals move beyond symptom management by restoring connection, improving communication, and building emotional resilience.
I also bring a strong foundation in parent coaching, offering behavior plans, emotional regulation tools, and practical support for families working through everyday challenges. In addition to my clinical knowledge, I have a deep understanding of real world parenting in the age of technology, helping families navigate screen time, social media, and the evolving needs of digital age children and teens.
In my voluntary role as a lead family counselor at a bilingual local church, I've provided faith informed counseling and supported initiatives focused on grief, marriage restoration, trauma healing, and spiritual wellness. This role has deepened my commitment to bridging mental health and spiritual care, especially for communities often underserved by traditional systems.
Joining Marriage and Family Services is an exciting step in my professional journey. I am honored to be part of a team that shares my heart for family centered, high integrity, and community oriented care. My goal is simple: to offer every client a safe and supportive space to heal, grow, and thrive.
