As an undergraduate at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), she studied psychology and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2016. Zina then went to Nova Southeastern University (NSU) to pursue a Master of Science in Family Therapy and graduated in 2019. Zina has experience seeing individuals, families, and couples in a clinical setting as well as at-risk children in the Broward County school system. On her path to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Zina was extensively trained in using a systemic and Solution-Focused Brief therapy approach to working with clients. In essence, she learned the importance of looking at all sides of a situation and using a person’s strengths, skills, and resources to reach a goal and achieve positive change. She values using this approach in her desire to help others. As a therapist, Zina strives to create an open and safe therapeutic environment, build a strong rapport with her clients, and work collaboratively with clients to meet their needs and achieve long-lasting success in their lives.
