Meet Sophia
Plantation Team
Sophia Rose-Lyn is a graduate of Adelphi University with a Bachelors’ degree in Sociology, and a Masters’ degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University.
Sophia is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida. She has worked in different settings, including schools. She employs her professional trainings in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy to help hurting children, adolescents, individuals, couples, families, and groups to address their presenting issues and pains holistically and inclusively.
She enjoys working in diverse community-focused organizations. Sophia is the recipient of the All-Star Leadership Academy Award from the Mental Health Association in Broward. As an insightful therapist, Sophia uses an integrated approach to therapy in an attempt to meet her clients at where they are—emotionally, cognitively, educationally, and relationally. This approach offers Sophia a wide range of therapeutic tools to use in helping clients to work through their issues thoughtfully.
